Heather Subbert loves music, reading, naps, chocolate, and being with her favorite people. She has been married to her husband Bryan for 17 years. They share three children: Isaiah, Ani, and Samuel, and live together outside of Orlando, where they enjoy theme parks, travel, and outdoor adventures.

As a parent of children with diverse abilities, she is constantly learning how to be a better communicator, a better organizer, and a better planner. She is also learning how to give more grace to herself and others.

Heather graduated from Pittsburg State University (Kansas, not Pennsylvania!) with a degree in Therapeutic Recreation. She has an extensive background in nonprofit administration and advocacy, working for many years in youth development programs and disability service organizations.

She joined the staff of Northland Church in 2012 where she oversees Access Ministries. She firmly believes that in order to build faith communities that reflect God's glory, we must fully include the gifts of every person. Her passion is helping others identify and develop those giftings so that they can be fully engaged as co-laborers for God's Kingdom.
